Національний університет «Львівська політехніка» (Lviv Polytechnic National University)

Lviv Polytechnic National University is the most diverse technical university in Ukraine and Eastern Europe, which was established in 1816 as the residence of the school with the permission of the Austrian Emperor Franz I. Since 1921 the institution was called "Lviv Polytechnic", and since 1939 - Lviv Polytechnic Institute. In 2000, Polytechnic received the status of a national university.

The University consists of 16 institutes, 114 departments, separate educational institutions, public organizations and general units. The university has over 35,000 students and external students. The training of specialists is carried out in 64 bachelor's directions and 124 specialties, of which 123 - master's level. International scientific, technical and educational cooperation with foreign universities, scientific institutions and companies has been intensively developed. Exchange of students and teachers with foreign partners has been established.

The students have modern facilities and social infrastructure of the university: 17 halls of residence, two training sports buildings with nine specialized sports halls, swimming pool, ski base, summer sports area, shooting range. To organize the students' leisure at the University, they hold annual festivals such as Spring Polytechnic and Autumn Polytechnic.

For several years now, Lviv Polytechnic has been one of the most prestigious TIMES HIGHER EDUCATION rankings, which is the undeniable recognition of polytechnics in the world. For the past few years, the University has been one of the best institutions of higher education of Ukraine with the results of international and national rankings.

Національний університет «Львівська політехніка» - найрізноманітніший вищий технічний навчальний заклад України та Східної Європи, який був створений 1816 р. як резиденція школи з дозволу австрійського імператора Франца І. З 1921 р. заклад називався «Львівською політехнікою», а з 1939 року — Львівським політехнічним інститутом. У 2000 році Політехніка отримала статус національного університету.

Університет складається з 16 інститутів, 114 кафедр, відокремлених навчальних закладів, громадських організацій та загальних підрозділів. В університеті навчаються понад 35 тисяч студентів та екстернів. Підготовка фахівців проводиться за 64 бакалаврськими напрямами та 124 спеціальностями, з яких 123 — магістерського рівня. Набула інтенсивного розвитку міжнародна науково-технічна та освітня співпраця із закордонними університетами, науковими інституціями та компаніями. Налагоджено обмін студентами і викладачами із закордонними партнерами.
