Grange Park

Task 1

Two pictures illustrate how the Grange Park have changed from 1920 year comparatively to the present moment. Overall, there are significant differences between the old and the new park plans.

To begin with, the central part of the park area has changed prodigiously. Nowadays, there is a square of rose flowers which is limited by four park benches, however, in the 1920 there use to be a water fountain. Instead of the musicians’ stage, that took place on the western side from the central fountain, there is a huge concerts’ amphitheatre with stage and seats. Similarly to previous objects, pound for the plants has droughted and a children’s playground was built. A modern garden café takes place near the play area, however, in 1920 year there was a relatively small rose garden.

Notwithstanding such noticeable changes, entrances to the garden didn’t change its places. The same tendency refers to the north-western rose plantation, which keeps its territory safely.

Nowadays there is a tendency to become a self-employed person. On the one hand, this style of work organization provides people to have more interesting and free job. On the other hand, the ability to become a self-employed leads not permanent income which terrifies people.

To begin with, the ability to work only upon oneself allows to have more interesting projects and to be financially independent from employee. Indeed, agile lifestyle and alternative source of money provides people to plan their time in more effective way. A self-employed person, for example, can plan his schedule and leave several time slots for family dinners, nice weekends with friends and relatives, hobbies and sports activities. This time planning helps to keep better mental and physical health. As a result, self-employed human probably will be more productive, healthy and have a happy life.

However, not stable salary sometimes scares employers and they decide to reject a dream of their own business and independent job. Such kind of employment means that all financial and law responsibilities belong only to the one person. For example, the teachers’ revenue often depends on the number of extra-lessons. Self-employed tutor should constantly search pupils, develop education skills, improve studying methods and techniques. These activities usually require a prodigious amount of time and money sources. Moreover, pupils sometimes are not punctual and can easily abandon classes. So, the revenue from extra classes isn’t stable and needs financial and time invests.

To sum all, the ability to become self-employed worker have its own pros and cons, which usually depends on person self-organization.
