Factors of ethnotourism
Ethnographic tourism is based on the curiosity of tourists to the real life of peoples, to get acquainted with the traditions of the people, rituals, their culture and creativity. Our modern unified world is characterized by the fact that a person tries to identify himself, find and study his roots, realize
its own peculiarity, possession of its own history and cultural traditions. Well, the knowledge of other ethnic groups and cultures allows the tourist to create a clear and holistic picture of our diverse world of peoples with their own unique individuality.
The main resource for ethnographic tourism is the cultural and historical heritage of peoples.
The peculiarity of the ethnographic tourism product lies in the fact that its implementation requires the efforts of different members of the ethnic community: from the elderly - bearers and keepers of traditions, to young people who have received an education and are ready to apply knowledge for the benefit of their land.
So, the factors contributing to the development of ethnographic tourism in the territory are: high preservation of traditional culture, which is the main resource for ethnotourism; presence of natural monuments; local residents have experience in hosting guests from different cities and countries, thanks to exhibitions and educational programs.
Factors hindering the development of ethnographic tourism in the territory: poor coordination of the efforts of stakeholders; the seasonal nature of existing routes (some camps can only be reached in summer or winter); lack of start-up capital for investing in the tourism business; extremely limited species structure of inbound tourism; underdeveloped transport infrastructure; the region is little known to the general tourist community as an object of tourist visits; the system of management/regulation of the process of formation of the regional tourism industry, based on effective organizational and economic mechanisms, including, among others, innovative, investment, information, personnel, scientific, legal and regulatory components, is poorly developed.
