Moscow

1. My native town is Moscow. 2. It was founded in 1147 by Yury Dolgoruky on two rivers: Moskow and Neglinnaya. 3. Usually people say that Moscow is placed on seven hills.

4. The climate is temperately continental. 5. Winters in Moscow are quite cold and summers are usually hot, so people change lots of clothes during every year.
6. There are many places of interest in Moscow. 7. For example, ancient Moscow Kremlin, which was built by Ivan III in 15th century. 8. Another important building is Temple of Christ the Savior which is the main, the biggest and the most beautiful temple in Moscow.

9. Moscow has rich history. 10. It was the capital of Russia when Rurik dynasty ruled the country and became it again once more when  the USSR was founded. 11. In fact, it was burnt several times: for example, once it was destroyed by mongol conquerors. 12. After many years it was burnt by its own citizens when french army entered it.

13. Moscow is also famous for its writers such as Mayakosky, Gorky and Bulgakov. 14. The last writer decribed the city and its society in his novel The Master and Margarita.

15. Nowadays population of Moscow is about 12 millions and still grows. 16. This city has the biggest metro in Russia. 17. People can commit to any point of the city due to this huge net of underground railways. 18. By the way, Moscow is well-known for its endless Universities, so quite often people from other cities go to this city to get good education.
