Remote education – new age of education
Introduction
Before we start talking about remote education, I would like to give a definition of this term. Remote education (RE), also known as distance learning, provides education to students who are separated by distance and in which the pedagogical material is planned and prepared by educational institutions [6]. This type of learning can be helpful to both institutions and learners [3–4]. In the period of the COVID-19 pandemic, distance learning became popular. For example, in our case, we studied with several tools that our government provided. For example, Zoom online conferences, massive open courses, TV lessons, etc.
Importance
Given the growing number of reported infected cases in Kazakhstan and international locations, governments have imposed unprecedented quarantines and travel bans [5]. Consequently, many countries decided to close schools, universities, etc. as one of the measures to minimise virus transmission.
In that way, remote learning provides an opportunity for students and teachers to remain connected and engaged with the content while working from their homes. So, all forms of learning that students' experienced during COVID-19 were referred to as remote learning opportunities [4].
From the Kazakhstan experience, this includes students self-study from various sources, as I mentioned above. About self-study [5], the authors consider it self-motivation from learners to study. However, it has both advantages and disadvantages.

In that way, teachers and other contributors to education were pure educated with a toolbox that could be affordable to conduct lessons. It includes e-learning portal hosts, various teaching and learning materials, including e-books, links for specialised services, and a virtual library that can be useful to both teachers and students. From the research of [4] authors, we can conclude that the world is faced with the problem that distance learning can’t change traditional education. While educators from some technologically advanced countries might be managing to reach out to their learners through an online mode of lesson delivery, some low-income countries may find remote learning quite difficult [4].
However, students should be encouraged to learn subjects on their own through various platforms, such as the ones that have been highlighted in this paper. So they should be motivated to continue their education sustainably.
Currently, remote laboratories have gained relevance in engineering education as tools to support active learning, experimentation, and the motivation of students. In that way [3] work, the authors invented a platform to encourage students to study in remote laboratories. That means the platform can be adapted to allow students and teacher to communicate through distance. It cost low, and anytime you can do homework and read lectures before deadline.
