It is necessary to think about higher education in secondary school. Both parents and students themselves should listen to themselves, their hobbies, objectively look at which subjects interest them the most, and with which disciplines they have difficulties. This will allow you to choose the right profession that will bring only positive emotions and career growth in the future. After all, the more interesting the study is, the more chances that after graduation, the student will find himself in the chosen specialty. Kazakhstan has now become a progressive republic, where many new universities are being opened, there is a need for new specialties, there are enterprises and firms that cooperate with countries around the world. Finding your place today and realizing your potential is not a problem. The most important thing is to follow the right algorithm:
- decide what you really like and choose a specialty;
- understand for yourself whether you are ready to move from your hometown to the capital or another country;
- whether you will be able to study at the university for a fee;
- which format will be most convenient for you: full-time or part-time study;
- decide on a university, taking into account its rating and tuition fees.
If you still understand that you need a higher education, then you should approach the choice of a university responsibly. Pay attention to the following points:
- what places does the university take in the ranking (take into account both the rankings of universities in Kazakhstan and the world rankings of universities);
- whether you are ready to study in another city (for example, if you like a university in Astana or Almaty, but you are from Shymkent, you will have to live in a dormitory or look for rented housing in advance, and this is an additional expense);
- what are the reviews about the university on forums and social networks (find more information from students, read about what opportunities there are for development in addition to studying: sports and creative sections, international cooperation, libraries);
- whether you can afford to study (objectively look at whether you have the makings to study at a technical or humanitarian university, think about which subjects are easier for you and which are more difficult);
- where you will work after graduation (be sure to think about the practical application of your specialty, whether it is in demand in Kazakhstan, whether you are satisfied with the average salary).
Well, in order to help you make a choice, below is a ranking of universities.
