Advantages and disadvantages of living abroad

Currently, going to overseas to study or work for many years is becoming more trendy. Advantages of this development are clearly more, but it does not eliminates the fact that there are also some drawbacks. This essay will discuss both benefits and disadvantages in living abroad for a significant amount of time.

First and foremost, the main positive aspect is that it gives people an opportunity to get a fresh start in the new place. By this, I mean that moving to a foreign country might be a chance to start a new life, find new friends, job, or discover new aspects of your personality. However, most of immigrants are the ones who were forced to live abroad, since they could not arrange their lives in their countries. For instance, many newcomers in my country visited this place to find proper accommodation and workplace. Moreover, students may be become more independent and adaptable. The reason is that they will have to take care of themselves by leaving their families for the University.

However, there are two cons of living overseas. Firstly, a myriad of people moving to a foreign country have language barriers, which means that they have troubles with learning other language living in a place where everything is in other language, so the visitor will have no clue , what is on the simple sticker on the product. This is overwhelming, stressful and confusing at the same time. Secondly, moving to international country is financially challenging, because the visitor will have to deal with the differences in cost of living and more. As a result, people may not cope with this enormous changes, and acquire depression, for instance.

To conclude, people living and working in a foreign country may face many positive and negative aspects of this. Hence, people should think twice before going abroad.
