Electric power engineering- is a branch of the economy and energy, which includes the production, transmission and sale of electric energy.
Electrical engineering is - industry related to the receipt, distribution, conversion and use of electrical energy.
Bachelor of Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering has a number of universal, general professional and professional competencies, which allows you to successfully build a career as a specialist in the field of electric power.
The electric power industry and electrical engineering is a basic branch of industry, since it produces electric energy. Here we can say that future graduates will be able to find themselves in various enterprises, organizations and industrial companies. A ready-made specialist will have the following skills and abilities: to receive and distribute electrical energy; to control the flow of electricity; to create and operate electrical wiring systems; to work with electrical machines and converters.
In the course of training, the student acquires the necessary professional skills and abilities: to work with electric energy and flow control; to create and design electric machines and equipment; to operate means of building electrical systems; to create electrical products; to develop electric power and electrical engineering; to create and design electric power and electrical systems; to formulate tasks in this area. A graduate of this specialty can apply for a job in various fields of activity. These can be a variety of production and technological organizations that are engaged in the production, transmission and distribution of electricity. Mostly graduates hold the positions of software engineers, developers of electrical systems, electric drive engineers and others. Specialists in the fields of electric power, industry, mechanical engineering, as well as transport are in demand. There are quite large and promising organizations in Russia where specialists in electric power and electrical engineering are always needed. Here you can immediately talk about Gazprom LLC, Lenenergo OJSC or Roselectroprom Holding CJSC. These and other large enterprises have many partners, which makes it possible to talk about the need for specialists to work at these enterprises as well.
Also know the correct operation of power electrical equipment of substations of networks and systems, assessment of the quality of consumed and given energy resources, the correct use of power tools, protective equipment and testing of these protective equipment
Know the rules of fire safety, first aid to the victim in case of thermal burns from exposure to electric current
Design and calculate the reliability of electrical circuits of a serviced substation or station, be able to read circuits and understand the distribution of this equipment and the correctness of their maintenance in the order of current operation.
