Annotation: This article discusses the use of various fairy tales and short stories in learning English. Children are taught that teaching English through stories is one of the most effective ways to teach English and what methodological methods should be used to teach the language.

Introduction: In today's day-by-day development, learning a foreign language is not a way of self-development, but a necessity. A foreign language has become a mandatory component of education not only in schools and universities, but also in many additional pre-school educational institutions.

Today we will learn effective ways to use fairy tales in learning a foreign language. Since the English language is currently developing rapidly, we decided to analyze the article in terms of the English language. Why fairy tales? After all, you can learn through different music, cartoons, and short videos. We do not deny what we have listed above, but teaching English through fairy tales is beneficial in every way. Because in this way, young children will remember the spelling of the word, they will have the opportunity to improve their pronunciation by reading, and the main thing is that the stories are written in a short and very understandable way. Remember, when we tell stories to our young Korean brothers when they first start to know everything, they listen with their ears and even remember the development of events. Why is that? Why do young children have the ability to remember fairy tales? Because fairy tales are mainly depicted through different animals, almost all fairy tales involve animals. And there is a sequence of events in fairy tales. Young children remember events by imagining them. The good effect of fairy tales on young children is that they always end well, and in the minds of children there is something that life always consists of good things.

This has a great impact on the child's psychology. A psychologically mature person always has a high level of energy. That is why linguists have found teaching English through fairy tales to be a very effective method. If we teach English through fairy tales, the student learns vocabulary at the same time, for example, if it is a fairy tale about animals, he learns the names of all animals and learns to use tenses throughout the text. This is a very difficult opportunity to improve his English speaking.

Let's study the sequence of teaching a fairy tale to students. As everything is step by step, on the first day we tell the student to learn new words from the story. On the second day, we will give the task of translating and understanding the fairy tale. And on the third day, we ask them to tell us the whole story. Finally, on the fourth day, we make it a task for him to tell this tale in three tenses. As you can see, this is a difficult task, but very effective. If we do this continuously, we will definitely feel growth in ourselves. Both from the point of view of vocabulary, from the point of view of understanding, and from the point of view of grammar, and the last one, the person who reads it over and over again, the mistakes related to the writing of the words will be eliminated, and most importantly, there will be no problems in his pronunciation. In any subject, a person who understands the subject becomes more interested. That's why we need to consider the understanding of the reader first, no matter what field we are in.
