Due to Globalization, English is an instrument of international communication. The language can consolidate nations and reflect all events of the World. Also it can degrade and die after degradation and dead of any culture (for example, Latin). The relationship between language and culture is a typical example of universal development. Development trends are typical for all languages. But we must account individual characteristics necessary language.
We need to mark some milestones of Britain English development. Many specialists mark three periods: the Old English, the Middle English and the New English. This division is very elementary. The language has long development way and ancient origination. History of English can be used in school subjects.
As people, languages fought, united, traded and improved each other. The Romans had given borrowed Greek words to Latin. After conquest of the British Isles they changed English lexicon and phonetics.
In the 5th century big part of the Island was coquetted by the Angles, the Saxes and the Utah. They made new country – The Kingdom of England. In the 9th century the Vikings began to attack and coquet some regions of England. In the 11th century the Normans attacked the country. The Hundred Years War also changed the culture and the language.
The colonization of America by the English began in the 16th century. First immigrants were the peasants and bourgeois. American English was developing thanks to other languages. The Spanish, the Portuguese, the Dutch and the French also looked for new lands. Many immigrants were the Britain. So English became the general language.
Another part of English is Australian English. It has very challenge history of development. The language had appeared in 18th century in British Colonization time. English in Australia was the language of the criminals. In 1850 appeared English immigrants. They looked for gold and soon made new slang. It is very hardly to define the origin of the words.
Development of England leads to expanding language borders. English is alive today. It unites with other international languages.
So we must lean languages with historical and cultural interaction. This approach should be applied in school.
