 Exercise I. A) Find English equivalents in the text: нижняя палуба (under deck); переборка (bulkhead); танк (tank); левый борт (port side); трюм (hold); корпус (hull); передняя часть (bow) ; трап (ladder); машинное отделение (engine room); пресная вода (fresh water).

b) Give Russian equivalents using words of the unit: accommodation (помещение); cargo spaces (грузовые помещения) ; hold (трюм) ; dry cargo (сухой груз) ; galley (камбуз); bunk (каюта); weather deck (верхний палуба); stern (кормовой) ; main bulkhead (главная переборка); to store ballast water (хранить балластную воду); double bottom tank (танк с двойным дном) ; superstructure (надстройка).
