1.Provide an analysis of  tte Brontë’s Jane Eyre and do the test.

The novel is about love, independence, and morality. Jane believes that love should be equal and based on respect, not money or social class. She also fights against unfair rules for women and poor people in Victorian society.

The main character, Jane Eyre, is intelligent, emotional, and strong in her beliefs. Edward Rochester, her employer, is a mysterious and complex man with a troubled past. St. John Rivers represents duty and self-control; he wants Jane to marry him for practical and religious reasons, not for love. Mrs. Reed and Mr. Brocklehurst symbolize cruelty and oppression in Jane’s childhood.

The story is written in the first person and includes Gothic elements like dark places and secrets. Jane Eyre is important because it shows a strong woman who chooses self-respect over comfort.

2. Provide an overview of  T. S. Eliot (Modernist poetry).

T. S. Eliot (1888–1965) was an American-born poet who spent most of his life in England. He is one of the most important figures in Modernist poetry. Eliot experimented with new styles and forms, changing the way poetry was written in the 20th century.

His poetry often has a fragmented structure, moving between different voices, times, and places. He uses many references to literature, history, religion, and mythology, which makes his work rich and complex. Eliot’s poems show the feelings of loneliness, spiritual emptiness, and confusion in modern life. He often uses strong images and symbols to express deep ideas and emotions.

Some of his most famous works are The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock, which shows isolation and hesitation in modern society, The Waste Land, a long poem about the moral and spiritual decay after World War I, and Four Quartets, which reflects on time, history, and human existence.

T. S. Eliot is significant because he helped define Modernist poetry. He broke traditional rules, mixed different cultures and voices, and showed the disorientation of the modern world. His work influenced many poets after him and remains important today.

3.  Provide an overview of  features of Enlightenment literature

Enlightenment literature belongs to the 17th and 18th centuries and reflects the ideas of reason, logic, and learning. Writers of this period focused on understanding the world through science, observation, and rational thought. Literature was used to teach, criticize society, and promote moral values.

One of the main features of Enlightenment literature is reason and rationality. Authors emphasized clear thinking and logical arguments instead of relying on superstition or tradition. Another important feature is social and political critique. Writers often criticized injustice, corruption, and inequality, and they promoted freedom, tolerance, and equality. Satire and wit were frequently used to expose human foolishness and social problems in an entertaining way.

Enlightenment literature also focused on education and morality. Many works were intended to instruct readers and encourage ethical behavior. Writers such as Voltaire, Jonathan Swift, and Alexander Pope combined entertainment with lessons about human nature and society.
