There is no doubt that over time human knowledge becomes more accurate. Day by day scientists make discoveries in various fields, and, as a result, many of the results get published. They improve our understanding of the world around us.

Thanks to technological progress, we can also notice that the methods for calculating and processing data necessary for different disciplines are becoming much faster, more efficient  and more accurate than before. These advances in data processing help people to collect more data with less errors. For example, until recently, when biologists used a microscope, they had to rely on the glass lenses. However, an invention of an electron microscope with electron optical lenses has provided them with an opportunity to reach the resolution that could not be attained with the use of the conventional microscope, and thus enhance the human knowledge about the processes happening on the microlevel. This example shows, how the progress equips the humanity with the tool that allows to observe phenomena that could not be seen before.

Another reason for an improved accuracy of the knowledge is in the amount of data collected. Digitalization of the modern life allows to gather all sorts of statistical data from all available sources, starting with the transactions in the local store and to the continuous measures of temperature in all parts of the earth. An enormous of information is collected and stored every day. Moreover, some of this information was initially collected to record register some events without the purpose of its further analysis. Moore’s Law suggests that the computational power doubles every five years, enabling the humankind to process this endless stream of newly generated information and extract the new knowledge from. Some relation that are invisible for human brain can often be found by using artificial intelligence.

The number of people involved in research is the third reason why the knowledge has become more accurate. Over the last centuries there have been a huge leap in the life quality of humans. Machines have successfully liberated people from the most of hard manual labour, granting the opportunity to spend more time and effort on mental labour. Nowadays, the literacy level in the world is extremely high, almost every adult can read and write. In other words, almost everyone is equipped with the tools that allow to extract the knowledge and pass the ideas to other people.

Although humankind has already made an impressive work in collecting the knowledge about the world around us and making this knowledge as accurate as possible, people still have infinitely question awaiting to be answered. Whenever one research question gets answered, this knowledge immediately raises a dozen of new questions related to it.
