What I would like to know as a foreigner about Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan is very rich in sights. But our tourist activities are poorly developed. I wrote a short guidebook for foreigners. Thanks to the guidebook you can find out how and where to spend time in Kazakhstan.

Your journey can start from the north of Kazakhstan. In the north of Kazakhstan, between Astana and Kokshetau cities, there is an amazing area, a real oasis – Borovoe. There are many lakes and rivers. Many of the lakes are known for their healing waters with a high content of mineral salts and trace elements, their mud resorts.

Certainly I advise you to visit our young developing capital – Astana. Here you can see the Baiterek monument, as well as the EXPO exhibition.

Then we are moving to eastern Kazakhstan. Three reserves are located here: Alakol, Markakol, West Altai. The beauty of these places is difficult to describe in words, so it’s best to visit yourself and see everything with your own eyes.

It is impossible not to visit Almaty city. The main attraction of this city is the mountains. The location at the foot of the Zailiysky Alatau easily allows citizens to get out into the nature and conquer one of the mountain peaks. Also you can go skiing at the Shymbulak or Akbulak.

Southern Kazakhstan is rich in spiritual and holy places. Who are interested in history can visit the mausoleums of Ahmet Yassaui, Arystan Bab, Otyrar and Sauran forts and others.

The journey can be completed in the west of Kazakhstan.

The Great Silk Road which passes through the whole territory of Mangystau, now it is an interesting tourist route. The presence of attractive landscapes with a variety of Ustyurt reserved fauna, unique nature monuments and many historical and cultural monuments are interesting to a potential tourist. And certainly the main place is the Caspian Sea. Do you know how beautiful it is to watch the sunset sitting near the cost of sea?!

The twentieth century transformed the lives of people. Of course, the development of mankind has never ceased, and in every century there have been important scientific inventions, but truly revolutionary changes, and even on serious scales, have happened not too long ago. What discoveries of the twentieth century were the most significant?

Aviation

Brothers Orvil and Wilbur Wright entered the history of mankind as the first pilots. Last but not least, the great discoveries of the 20th century are new types of transport. Orville Wright managed to make a controlled flight in 1903. The aircraft, developed by him with his brother, lasted only 12 seconds in the air, but it was a real breakthrough for the aviation of those times. Flight date is considered the birthday of this type of transport. The Wright brothers were the first to design a system that would twist the wing consoles with cables, allowing you to control the machine. In 1901, the wind tunnel was created. They invented the propeller. Already by 1904, the world saw the new model of the aircraft, more sophisticated and capable not only of flight, but also of performing maneuvers. In 1905, a third variant appeared, which could stay in the air for about thirty minutes. Two years later, the brothers signed a contract with the US Army, and later the French bought the plane. Many began to think about carrying passengers, and the Wrights made the necessary amendments to their model, installing an extra seat and making the engine more powerful. Thus, the beginning of the 20th century opened up completely new possibilities for humanity

Roentgen

Like many great discoveries of the 20th century, this was partly done back in the 19th, but then people could not succeed right away. For example, X-rays were first used in 1885. Then Wilhelm Roentgen discovered that photographic plates are darkened under the action of a particular spectrum, and upon irradiating body parts, an image of the skeleton can be obtained. Nevertheless, he had to work 15 years in order to study the organs and tissues became possible. That is why the name “X-ray” is associated with the beginning of the 20th century: previously it was not known to the general public. By 1919, many hospitals had already used this technique. The appearance of X-ray has changed the development of medicine: new branches of diagnostics and analysis have appeared in it. To date, the device has saved millions of lives. So in cases where prominent scientists are mentioned, it is necessary to call Wilhelm Roentgen.

Internet

Not all discoveries of the last century are used by people every day. But the invention of the Internet has transformed life even in small things, today it is used in almost every country in the world. This means for communication, information retrieval, data exchange. This is a universal source of communication. Therefore, enumerating the great discoveries of the 20th century, the Internet can not be forgotten. There is an opinion that Dr. Liklider, the scientist who headed the American military information exchange project, took the first steps in this direction. Thus, the Arpanet network was created, with the help of which in 1969 data was transferred from the University of Los Angeles to the Utah laboratory. A start was made, and in 1972 the Internet was presented to the public

My specialization

My specialization is thermal power engineering. In this specialty, we go through all sections of physics, such as mechanics, molecular physics, electr and magnetism, and others. In particular, we consider the section thermal physics. Thermal power engineering is a special field of human activity, which involves the transfer of heat to electrical and mechanical energy, which usually occurs in thermal power stations, and also vice versa: the conversion of other energy types into thermal power engineering. Thermal power is responsible for the stable supply of various kinds of energy to a city, village and organization or private company that requires control of heating, ventilation, plumbing and sewage systems, as well as air conditioning systems, furnaces, drying and refrigeration units. This specialist is engaged in the design of all these systems, installation and preventive maintenance, which is carried out according to the schedule recommended by the thermal engineer.

It includes the maintenance of technical documentation, the preparation of technical passports for each object. A heat engineer analyzes the amount of resources consumed and makes a plan for energy consumption.

In a not scientific language, thermal power engineering is an interesting specialization, which gives us a possibility to learn about generation and application of heat, its flow control and conversion of various types of energy into heat.
