Ultimately, literature provides a door to teach readers about life's experiences rooted in both the saddest and happiest stories that touch the heart.

From an early age, most of us are exposed to literature in the form of simple picture books mainly used to teach the alphabet. While these picture books are far from the complexity of an 800-page sci-fi novel, it is still the first step into the literary world. Reading and receiving the key to the world of literature prepares from an early age to discover the true meaning of life, to see and understand situations from different angles.

Honestly, literature as an alternative is the closest thing in the world that allows one to understand another with all one's heart. For example, a novel about a terrible war written from the perspective of a soldier allows the reader to imagine his pain without being that person. As such, literature can act as a time machine, allowing individuals to enter a specific time period, as mentioned in the story. Then we find ourselves in the mind and soul of the writer.
