The research topic "Coping with stress in victims of cyberbullying" focuses on the study of adaptation mechanisms and strategies for coping with emotional stress in people who have been subjected to aggression and digital violence in an online environment. The main attention is paid to how victims of cyberbullying perceive, experience and overcome negative emotions and psychological consequences of this phenomenon. The study covers a variety of aspects of coping with stress, including psychological, social and adaptive strategies that victims can use to alleviate pressure and restore mental balance. The analysis of the effectiveness of these strategies allows us to offer recommendations on the development of support and assistance programs for victims of cyberbullying, contributing to their psychological well-being and adaptation to the online environment. This topic is of great public importance, as it is an attempt to improve the activities of digital communities by making them safer and more supportive for all participants.
Relevance of the research:
With the development of information technologies and the widespread use of the Internet in the modern world, the encounter with new forms of social problems is becoming an integral part of the lives of many people, especially young people. One of the most serious problems associated with the digital world is cyberbullying, a form of aggression aimed at destroying an individual through digital technologies, including threats, insults, public humiliation, and blackmail.
Cyberbullying is a serious social phenomenon that has a negative impact on the health and well-being of victims. Psychological stress caused by cyberbullying can have profound and long-term consequences for the mental health, social adaptation and social activity of victims. Anxiety, anxiety, depression and a sense of helplessness often accompany victims of cyberbullying, leading to possible violations in their daily lives, separation from society, and in extreme cases – to self-harm and even suicide.
The topic of "Coping with stress among victims of cyberbullying" is becoming increasingly relevant in modern society, where digital connectivity penetrates into all spheres of our lives. It is important to understand the mechanisms of adaptation and coping with stress in order to help victims of cyberbullying effectively resist the negative impact and reduce its impact on their mental and emotional state.
The development of technology and the transition of most of the communication to the virtual space increase the vulnerability of the younger generation to cyberbullying. Excessive use of social networks, messengers, games, anonymity of the Internet – all this creates ideal conditions for aggression and mental pressure on others. Teenagers and young adults who encounter such manifestations often do not know how to respond effectively and cope with this stress. In this context, a study aimed at studying methods of coping with stress in victims of cyberbullying is an extremely important and relevant scientific task.
It should be emphasized that the analysis of strategies for coping with stress among victims of cyberbullying will help not only to better understand the mechanisms of adaptation in the digital world, but also to offer specific recommendations for support and assistance to potential victims. This is of practical importance, since their further psychological well-being, social activity and participation in public life depend on how people cope with this stress. Effective coping strategies with cyberbullying can help create a safer and more supportive online community, which is an important step in ensuring the digital well-being and psychological stability of the new generation.
The purpose of this study is to analyze and understand the strategies of coping with stress used by victims of cyberbullying, in order to develop effective methods of support and assistance to improve psychological well-being and adaptation in the digital space. More specifically, the study is aimed at identifying the main coping strategies, assessing their effectiveness and adequacy, as well as formulating recommendations for the prevention and treatment of the psychological consequences of cyberbullying.
