- As you probably know, my name is Dmitry and I would like to tell you today about the work of the artist Kazimir Malevich. With my presentation, I would like to briefly walk through the work of Kazimir Malevich and look at his paintings with you from the perspective of an ordinary layman
Kazimir Malevich is outstanding Russian and Soviet avant-garde artist. The founder of Suprematism, one of the earliest manifestations of modern abstract art.

After some time, he became passionately interested in futurism. He was the most active participant in all futuristic exhibitions, and even worked on costumes and scenery. It was the geometrization of forms and the maximum simplification in design that prompted Kazimir Malevich to think about creating a new direction - Suprematism.

The artist made a revolution. He completely abandoned the figurativeness. The artist showed his first forty-nine paintings to the world at an exhibition held in Petrograd in 1915. Under his works, the artist placed a sign: "Suprematism in painting." Among these canvases was the famous "Black Square", written in 1914, which caused fierce attacks from critics.
