We live in a 21st century and global problems are on the agenda. These global problems require global response. One of the steps is recycling. Protection of the world is based on the rule of 3 R’s: recycling, reuse and reduce.

The first reason to refer to recycling is to conserve energy that can be used to produce other new materials.

The second reason is to reduce dumping because we fill our landfills too quickly. We don’t want to keep dumping more and more waste into the ground.

As a rule, household waste is “fra kf ke kd j fem”being exposed to recycling. So in order to reduce household waste we need to buy products with less packaging.

Some people think that recycling doesn’t make any difference, but scientists assume recycling would save so many our planet’s resources from being depleted and prevent further environmental harm.

We should also reuse things more. Its when you use old things in a new way, for example when we produce something from old things or clothes as fashion designers usually do.

And the last is reduce. That means that we can reduce the consumption of things that we don’t need.

So, 21st century is different in respect of consumption. Today people consume more and more. So if we want to contribute to the protection of the environment we need to consume less. All these R’s are very important today and we need to use all of them to make our planet cleaner.
