Detective Hercule Poirot

Detective Hercule Poirot is traveling by train to Istanbul. His traveling companions are Colonel Arbuthnot and Mary Debenham, a governess from Baghdad, who needs to catch the Orient Express. In Istanbul, Poirot learns that he urgently needs to come to London and decides to take the Orient Express. His traveling companions turn out to be Mr. Ratchet and his secretary Mr. McQueen. They have at least three days to travel.

In the detective's carriage there are 13 other passengers. Two days later, a murder occurs. Mr. Ratchett's corpse is discovered. The trainmaster asks Poirot for help and the investigation begins. On a burnt scrap of note Poirot realizes that Rachett is the murderer of a little girl Daisy Armstrong. The detective begins interviewing the passengers. Each of them has an irrefutable alibi. He realizes that someone wanted to frame the conductor by leaving his uniform at the scene of the crime. After examining the body, Poirot realizes that Ratchett was stabbed to death by several men, the detective and the passengers come to a compromise.

Each of them is related to the Armstrong family and they all stabbed Ratchett. This was planned long ago. Poirot leaves after offering the police officers another version of the murder.

По обгорелому клочку записки Пуаро понимает, что Рэчетт является убийцей маленькой девочки Дэйзи Армстронг. Сыщик начинает опрос пассажиров. У каждого из них есть неопровержимое алиби. Он понимает, что кто-то хотел подставить проводника, оставив его форму на месте преступления . После осмотра тела Пуаро понимает, что Рэтчета закололи ножом несколько человек, сыщик и пассажиры пришли к компромиссу.
